WHO ARE WE?

20+ Years of Experience

Our Founders have each spent the past twenty years in continuous, entrepreneurial endeavors. From Keurig, to Sulzer Metaplas, to Carolyn’s Gourmet, and other ventures, our start-up work has never stopped.

Much has changed in the startup world over the past two decades . . . and we have changed with it.  Just recently, for instance, WWLC assisted a media start-up raise $4 million in a private placement.

Our Story

WorldWide Local Connect was born out of a need to work with verified startup experts.

Our mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive by building a community of such experts, ones with proven track records, experts who are, or have been, successful entrepreneurs and/or small business owners.  We’re looking for recent, real life experience.  WWLC is creating a vibrant network comprised of individuals who have been through the trials and tribulations of small business ownership and who want to work with and assist fellow entrepreneurs.

Marc Slafsky

CEO

Marc Slafsky is a Certified Insurance Councilor (CIC) with a thirty year history of success in commercial insurance and Insurance Expertise in Start-ups/ Networking Expert / Business Coach.

Marc has built a book of clients throughout the East Coast by becoming a trusted business advisor while providing insurance and operational guidance for his clientele.

Prior to WWLC, Marc owned his own insurance agency and, later, worked for large regional insurance agencies.  He currently works for bank owned insurance agencies, helping clients solve both their insurance and funding needs.

Marc has multiple degrees from Bentley University.

Hans van Putten

Hans van Putten

COO and Creative Director

Hans van Putten ran his food manufacturing company for 17+ years. While growing the Carolyn’s Handmade brand, he transformed 40ParkLane,llc into a company that focuses on strategic planning, operational management, web design and digital marketing.

Prior to founding 40parkLane,llc Hans worked for the Gillette Company for 10 years in various financial roles of increasingly bigger responsibility, culminating in his last position as Director of Business Planning for The International Group at Gillette HQ, Boston.

Hans has an MBA (Marketing & International Business) from Aston University, and a BA in Business Administration from IHBO de Maere.

Peter Dragone

Peter Dragone

CFO

Mr. Dragone has spent the past fifteen plus years as an acting/consulting CFO for a number of start-ups in a wide range of industries. Peter’s prior experience is that of a serial entrepreneur, managing various start-up and turnaround projects.  He was a co-founder of Keurig, Inc.

Previously, Mr. Dragone was a senior financial/operational manager for Chiquita Brands International.  He moved to Chiquita after working in international banking at BankBoston.

He has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA (in Spanish) from Middlebury College and a BA from Colby College.
